Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell returned to practice Wednesday, marking his first participation in padded team drills since December 2024. Dell was limited, catching passes from quarterback C.J. Stroud during individual drills and running full speed routes.

Coach De Meco Ryans stated Dell is progressing well and the team is managing his return carefully to ensure readiness for 11-on-11 contact. "Nothing's changed in his plan. We're progressing him on really well," Ryans said, emphasizing a patient approach based on Dell's well-being.

The former 2023 third-round pick missed the entire 2025 season after suffering multiple torn ligaments and a dislocated kneecap in a 2024 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He underwent two surgeries, including one in March 2025 for a torn ACL. Dell also sustained a broken leg in 2023 and a minor gunshot wound in April 2024.
