Sean Payton will have the honor of presenting Drew Brees into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class on August 8th. Brees, the former New Orleans Saints quarterback, personally requested Payton, his long-time coach, to introduce him and unveil his bronze bust. The emotional moment was captured on video, showing a tearful Payton accepting the invitation.

"Honest to God, I can't believe you just did that," Payton told Brees, who responded, "It's awesome. I can't wait, I love you." Brees and Payton shared 15 years together with the Saints, culminating in a Super Bowl XLIV victory. Brees retired after the 2020 season, and Payton left the Saints after the 2021 season, eventually becoming the head coach of the Denver Broncos.

Brees is widely recognized for his NFL career, ranking second all-time in passing yards, touchdown passes, and completions. He will be enshrined alongside other notable inductees such as Luke Kuechly, Larry Fitzgerald, Roger Craig, and Adam Vinatieri.
