New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Bryan Bresee is feared to have torn his ACL on Wednesday, according to sources speaking with NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. Bresee is undergoing further testing, but a torn ACL would sideline him for the entire 2026 season. The injury is believed to have occurred during the Saints' first training camp practice at their Metairie facility, where Bresee was participating in 11-on-11 drills with the first unit.

Bresee, 24, was expected to be a crucial component of the Saints' interior defensive line for his third consecutive season. The 2023 first-round draft pick has started 26 games in his career, including 15 last season. The Saints recently exercised his fifth-year option, valued at $13.9 million, for the 2027 season. Notably, Bresee previously experienced a torn left ACL at the start of his 2021 season with Clemson.
