Over 6,000 season‑ticket holders packed Merriweather Post Pavilion Thursday as the Baltimore Ravens revealed their most extensive uniform overhaul in 27 years. The centerpiece was a matte black helmet sporting talon stripes and a two‑tone Raven logo, meant to pair with new black jerseys and pants. Marketing chief Brad Downs called the helmet the “wow factor” for fans craving a darker look.

Other tweaks echo the franchise’s heritage: collar patterns on all three primary colors depict spread‑winged ravens, while “Baltimore” now appears on the front of white road jerseys and on the back collars of purple, black and the new Purple Rising set. An alternate purple helmet, bearing the classic logo, adds flexibility for future mix‑and‑match combos.

The unveiling capped a two‑and‑a‑half hour event that featured head coach Jesse Minter, president Sashi Brown and Ring of Honor members, before players strutted the new threads onstage. New defensive end Trey Hendrickson, fresh from a four‑year $112 million deal, modeled the black kit, declaring the look “gorgeous” and a boost for AFC North pride. The collection, dubbed “Next Flight,” signals an evolution rather than a total brand reset.
