Cornerback Rasul Douglas is set to sign a one-year contract with the Washington Commanders, according to sources. The deal is reportedly worth up to $3.8 million. Douglas, 30, brings nine years of NFL experience to Washington, having previously played for teams like the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles.

Last season with the Miami Dolphins, Douglas emerged as their top cornerback after an early-season injury. He played in 15 games, defending 13 passes and recording interceptions in two consecutive contests late in the season. Despite being targeted 82 times, he allowed 54 completions for 515 yards and three touchdowns.

Douglas earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors in Week 14 for his performance against the New York Jets. His addition provides the Commanders with a veteran presence in the secondary, potentially boosting their defensive capabilities for the upcoming season.
