The Washington Commanders have agreed to a two-year, $16 million contract with cornerback Amik Robertson, according to NFL Network. The deal includes $9.3 million guaranteed for the 27-year-old defensive back who spent the past two seasons with the Detroit Lions.

Robertson, a fourth-round pick in 2020 out of Louisiana Tech, was one of Detroit's most versatile defensive backs during his tenure. He appeared in 17 games (10 starts) in 2025, recording 52 tackles, a career-high 12 passes defended, and an interception. Despite allowing a career-high eight receiving touchdowns in coverage, Robertson proved reliable when the Lions dealt with multiple defensive injuries.

The Commanders are adding Robertson's experience to their secondary after he previously played four productive seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders. His ability to play both slot and outside cornerback makes him a valuable addition as Washington looks to strengthen their defense.
