The Las Vegas Raiders have hired Andrew Janocko as offensive coordinator, sources told ESPN, reuniting him with first-year head coach Klint Kubiak. Janocko, previously the Seattle Seahawks quarterbacks coach, met with the organization Sunday and will be tasked with turning around an offense that ranked among the league's worst in 2025.

Under Chip Kelly and interim coordinator Greg Olson, the Raiders finished last in points scored (14.2 per game), rushing yards (77.5), and total yards (245.2), while ranking 26th in red zone efficiency at 50%. Starting quarterback Geno Smith threw for 3,025 yards with 19 touchdowns but led the league with 17 interceptions, failing to meet expectations.

Kubiak confirmed he will handle playcalling duties despite the new hire, emphasizing it's a collaborative effort with his coaching staff. The Raiders hold the top pick in the 2026 NFL draft and are expected to select Indiana quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza, with Kubiak and Janocko overseeing his development. Smith remains under contract through 2028 with an $18.5 million dead cap hit if released.
