The New England Patriots have agreed to a two-year contract with quarterback Tommy DeVito worth up to $7.4 million, including $2 million guaranteed, according to his agent. The 27-year-old spent last season as the Patriots' No. 3 quarterback behind Drake Maye and Joshua Dobbs, never taking a snap in a regular-season game.

DeVito joined New England via waivers from the New York Giants last August. As a restricted free agent, he could have been tendered at various levels, but instead worked out this multi-year deal. The base value of the contract is expected to be $4.4 million.

The Patriots retain their quarterback depth chart for 2026, with Dobbs under contract for one more season at a $4.75 million salary cap charge. Head coach Mike Vrabel praised DeVito's development, noting his dedication to learning Josh McDaniels' offense and working with younger receivers.
