Murray said the toughest aspect of leaving Arizona is sharing limited reps with J.J. McCarthy and the other Vikings quarterbacks. After seven years of full‑time reps, he now “gets behind” in mastering the playbook, forcing him to “embrace the uncomfortable.” The first interception resulted from a misread with tight end Gavin Bartholomew; the second fell past Jauan Jennings and was snatched by Byron Murphy Jr.

McCarthy matched Murray’s snap count throughout the open OTA portions, fueling speculation he might seek a trade if he fails to secure the start.
