Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans will play a 13th NFL season in 2026, his agent Deryk Gilmore confirmed to ESPN. The 31-year-old, who missed 10 games in 2025 due to a broken collarbone and hamstring injury, took time after the season to decide whether to continue his career.

Evans, the Buccaneers' all-time leading scorer, will meet with Tampa Bay to discuss his future. The team was uncertain about his plans until Tuesday's announcement. If Evans explores other options, the free agent negotiating period begins March 9, with signings allowed starting March 11.

In 2024, Evans signed a two-year, $52 million deal with $35 million guaranteed just before free agency. He has repeatedly expressed his desire to be a "Buc for life," while carefully weighing his options as he approaches the tail end of his career. The Buccaneers missed the playoffs in 2025 for the first time since their 2020 Super Bowl LV victory.
