Trevor Lawrence entered the 2026 offseason with a clear advantage: no lingering shoulder issues, unchanged footwork and a familiar offense. That stability allowed the Jaguars’ quarterback to enjoy the most relaxed spring of his six‑year career, according to his own assessment. Coach Liam Coen noted the calm mindset mirrored Lawrence’s production in the final seven games of 2025.

During that stretch Lawrence threw 18 touchdown passes, added four rushing scores and limited turnovers to five, helping Jacksonville clinch the AFC South and finish fifth in MVP voting. After a Week 10 loss, Coen told him to “let it rip,” freeing the QB to attack downfield. The offense surged from a 24‑point average to 34.4 points per game in the final quarter.

Spring practices showed Lawrence refining protection calls and experimenting with deeper routes, especially with receiver Brian Thomas Jr. Offensive coordinator Grant Udinski highlighted a spontaneous protection call that hadn’t been run since the previous season, which the line executed flawlessly. Center Robert Hainsey, signed in 2025 to aid Lawrence’s transition, praised the quarterback’s growth, noting fewer than five interceptions throughout OTAs.
