Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur addressed his B-minus grade in the NFLPA player survey despite signing a contract extension. LaFleur acknowledged some players questioned his respect for them, explaining he needs better communication to strengthen team connections. The Packers made six playoff appearances in seven seasons but haven't advanced past the divisional round since 2020.

After a 9-3-1 start in 2025, Green Bay collapsed with five straight losses to finish as the NFC's seventh seed for the third consecutive season. LaFleur admitted the late-game failures and player role confusion contributed to the team's disappointing finish. He emphasized the importance of better communication and establishing clearer roles for players.

"The buy-in from players is going to be absolutely critical," LaFleur stated. He identified issues with player roles last season that affected team chemistry. The recently extended coach expressed dissatisfaction with the team's performance, saying they need to develop the mentality of finishing games strong rather than blowing late leads that plagued them throughout the season.
