Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert was back on the field Wednesday after missing Phase 2 of the team's offseason program to support his girlfriend, singer Madison Beer. Herbert traveled to join the start of Beer's tour, which kicked off in Poland on May 11 following her album release.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh reacted with understanding when Herbert informed him of the planned absence. "Do you need a ride to the airport?" Harbaugh joked, praising Herbert's dedication. The coach noted Herbert attends every voluntary and nonvoluntary workout, calling him a player who's "here all the time."

Herbert looked sharp during practice, completing passes to several of the Chargers' top targets during 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills. New offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel watched closely from the sidelines, actively coaching throughout the session. McDaniel's energy was evident as he encouraged players during various drills.

The quarterback's personal life has been in the spotlight recently, appearing in Beer's "lovergirl" music video earlier this month. The couple, first spotted together in August, attended a Lakers game in March. Herbert's return shows he remains committed to football despite his high-profile relationship.
