The New York Jets have launched a major defensive rebuild, agreeing to contracts with linebacker Demario Davis, edge rusher Joseph Ossai, and defensive end Kingsley Enagbare, sources confirmed to ESPN. This aggressive free agency push comes after the Jets finished 31st in points allowed last season and fired defensive coordinator Steve Wilks.

Davis, 37, returns to New York for a third stint on a two-year, $22 million deal with $15 million guaranteed. The veteran linebacker reunites with head coach Aaron Glenn, his former position coach in New Orleans. Ossai, 25, signed a three-year, $36 million contract after starting nine games for Cincinnati in 2025, while Enagbare joins on a one-year, $10 million deal following four seasons with Green Bay.

The additions aim to transform a defense that struggled mightily under Glenn's predecessor. Davis brings leadership and consistency with 143 tackles last season, Ossai offers pass-rushing upside with career-best pressure rates, and Enagbare provides rotational depth after stepping into a larger role for the Packers. The Jets also acquired safety Minkah Fitzpatrick in a trade with Miami earlier Monday.
