Berry praised him as a perfect fit for Cleveland's attacking front, noting his effectiveness against both the run and pass rush. The GM called Verse a 'huge part of this return' and said he allows the Browns to maintain their defensive standard.

Berry clarified that Garrett never requested a trade this offseason, despite speculation. The GM maintained he remained consistent in demanding substantial compensation, which the Rams eventually met after initially hesitating to include Verse in discussions.
