Jamal Adams, 30, a three-time Pro Bowler, agreed to join the Minnesota Vikings on Monday, announcing "Year 10" with a "#skol" hashtag on X. The move comes on the eve of training camp and reunites Adams with general manager Nolan Teasley, who helped acquire him for the Seahawks in 2020.

Defensive coordinator Brian Flores adds a versatile defender who played all 448 defensive snaps at linebacker for the Las Vegas Raiders last season. Flores often deploys three safeties, with Josh Metellus as a roving hybrid, and Adams could fill depth if longtime safety Harrison Smith retires.

Adams has 22.5 career sacks, including 16 combined in 2019-20, but injuries have limited him since 2023. In 102 career games (87 starts), he has 546 tackles, four interceptions and 36 pass deflections. The former 6th pick in the 2017 draft by the Jets earned two Pro Bowls and first-team All-Pro honors in 2019 before a trade to Seattle.
