The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to terms with running back Brian Robinson on a one-year, $2.5 million contract, replacing Tyler Allgeier who signed with Arizona. Robinson will serve as the complement to Bijan Robinson in Atlanta's backfield after spending the 2025 season with the San Francisco 49ers. The move addresses the Falcons' need for experienced depth in their backfield.

Robinson enters Atlanta with 2,729 career rushing yards and 17 touchdowns across four seasons. His 2025 campaign with San Francisco marked career lows, with just 92 carries for 400 yards and two touchdowns. Before joining the 49ers as Christian McCaffrey insurance, Robinson had been the Washington Commanders' primary back for three seasons, showing his versatility as both a runner and kick returner.

The 27-year-old running back, selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft, brings veteran experience to Atlanta's backfield. The Falcons now have a complementary backfield pairing with Bijan Robinson handling featured duties while Brian Robinson provides experience and depth for the upcoming season. Robinson's addition gives Atlanta more flexibility in their offensive schemes.
