The Atlanta Falcons have re-signed veteran tight end Austin Hooper to a one-year, $3.25 million contract, NFL Network reports. Hooper returns to the team where he spent his first four NFL seasons (2016-2019) after brief stints with the Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders, and most recently the New England Patriots.

At 31 years old, Hooper enters his 11th NFL season coming off a productive year with New England where he appeared in 16 games, making 21 receptions for 263 yards and two touchdowns. He also contributed in all four of the Patriots' playoff games, adding three catches for 24 yards. In 2024, he totaled 45 catches for 476 yards and three touchdowns.

Hooper's career includes two Pro Bowl selections in 2018 and 2019 when he set career highs with 71 receptions for 660 yards and 75 receptions for 787 yards, respectively. His return to Atlanta provides veteran leadership and reliable receiving options for the Falcons' offense, particularly as a complement to their starting tight end.
