The Miami Dolphins have locked running back De'Von Achane to a four‑year, $64 million extension that keeps him in South Florida through 2030. The deal includes $32 million guaranteed and a $16 million average annual value, making him the third‑highest‑paid back in the NFL, with bonuses potentially raising the total to $68 million.

Achane, who rushed for a career‑best 1,350 yards in 2025 and earned his first Pro Bowl, leads the league in yards per carry at 5.6 and is tied for the second‑most 50‑yard runs among qualified backs. A versatile weapon, he also logged 172 receptions and 13 receiving touchdowns over his first three seasons. General manager Jon‑Eric Sullivan praised Achane as a “pillar” of the franchise, while coach Jeff Hafley highlighted his vision, acceleration, and pass‑catching ability.

The extension comes amid a broader rebuild, with Miami trading or releasing several veterans to focus on younger talent. The Dolphins also drafted tackle Kadyn Proctor and plan to extend other key pieces like center Aaron Brewer and linebacker Jordyn Brooks. Achane’s contract joins a wave of sizable deals for running backs this offseason, including those of Travis Etienne Jr., Breece Hall, and Kenneth Walker III.
