The Washington Commanders have agreed to a four-year, $100 million contract with defensive end Odafe Oweh, agents David Mulugheta and Andre Odom of Athletes First confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal includes $68 million guaranteed, securing one of the NFL's most promising edge rushers for the long term.

Oweh's career trajectory has been remarkable. After struggling with zero sacks in five games for the Baltimore Ravens, he was traded to the Los Angeles Chargers in October. The move revitalized his career, as he recorded 7.5 sacks in 12 regular-season games and set a franchise playoff record with three sacks and two forced fumbles against the New England Patriots.

At 27, Oweh brings a rare combination of size and speed to Washington's defense. His 6-foot-5 frame and 4.36 40-yard dash speed have made him one of the league's most feared pass rushers, with 17.5 sacks since 2024 ranking 19th in the NFL. The Commanders' investment signals their commitment to building a dominant defense around Oweh's disruptive talents.
