The New Orleans Saints are signing wide receiver Chris Olave to a four-year extension worth up to $132 million, including $90 million guaranteed. Olave's new contract resolves a "hold-in" during training camp, where he participated in drills but not full team activities. The negotiations also factored in Olave's health history, including a blood clot that required him to be on blood thinners and at least two concussions sustained during the 2024 season. After contemplating retirement, Olave returned for the 2025 season and had a strong performance. General Manager Mickey Loomis acknowledged Olave's health as a variable in the contract talks but praised his enthusiasm and commitment to the team.
