The Kansas City Chiefs have signed former Miami Dolphins cornerback Kader Kohou to address their depleted secondary, agents David Canter and Ness Mugrabi confirmed to ESPN. The 27-year-old brings valuable experience to a unit that lost starters Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams in a trade and Jaylen Watson to free agency.

Kohou was poised for a starting role with the Dolphins in 2025 but suffered a partially torn ACL before the season, forcing him to miss the entire year. The Texas A&M-Commerce product has been a reliable presence since joining the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2022, starting 38 games over his first three seasons. His versatility allows him to play both outside and nickel cornerback effectively.

The defensive back has proven his playmaking ability with three interceptions, 28 passes defended, and solid tackling skills with 180 combined tackles for Miami. He recorded his first career interception against Aaron Rodgers during his rookie season when the Dolphins hosted the Green Bay Packers.
