Allen remained down briefly before being helped off the field by staff members.

Special teams coordinator Dave Toub expressed disappointment over the injury, noting Allen's strong performance on both offense and special teams. "He's really doing well on offense, and he's doing well for me too," Toub said.

The Chiefs also confirmed that Xavier Worthy left practice early due to a shoulder injury after making a deep catch and falling to the turf near the end zone. This marks another setback for Worthy, who previously suffered a right shoulder injury last season requiring offseason surgery.

Allen, a fifth-round pick, had emerged as a standout during training camp, leading all receivers with five catches on Friday and showcasing chemistry with quarterback Patrick Mahomes. His highlight-reel one-handed grab against three defenders demonstrated his potential to contribute significantly as a No. 4 receiver and special teams contributor.
