Arizona Cardinals edge rusher Josh Sweat was a surprise addition to the physically unable to perform (PUP) list Thursday due to a knee injury, joining left tackle Paris Johnson Jr., defensive back Garrett Williams, and tight end Tip Reiman. Sweat, 29, missed all offseason activities, including voluntary OTAs and mandatory minicamp, though coach La Fleur insisted there were "no problems" with Sweat and he looked "really good."

Sweat finished last season with a career-high 12 sacks despite an ankle/knee injury, playing in the finale against the Los Angeles Rams. La Fleur said Sweat and Johnson wouldn't be on PUP if camp started a week later like most teams. Sweat may return as early as Tuesday. Johnson's placement is "maintenance stuff" after missing the final four games last year with a knee injury.

Williams is recovering from a December Achilles injury, while Reiman returns from a Week 5 ankle injury that ended his rookie season. La Fleur expects both Johnson and Sweat back soon, downplaying long-term concerns.
