The Arizona Cardinals and quarterback Jacoby Brissett have agreed on a reworked contract that guarantees him $15.5 million this season with incentives that could raise the total to $21 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Sunday.

Brissett, Arizona's presumptive starter under new coach Mike La Fleur, had skipped most of the voluntary offseason program and held in at mandatory minicamp while requesting a restructuring. He returned for the first training camp practice Thursday.

The 31-year-old was entering the second year of a two-year deal originally set to pay $4.88 million in base salary. No new years were added, so he remains scheduled for free agency after the 2026 season.

Brissett finished last season with 3,366 passing yards, 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 14 games (12 starts). ESPN's Jeremy Fowler contributed to this report.
