Cam Ward on track for Titans minicamp after shoulder injury

Quarterback Cam Ward is progressing on schedule after a shoulder sprain that sidelined him in the Titans’ season finale. The injury, a right AC‑joint strain suffered on Jan. 4 during a 7‑yard TD run, required no surgery. General manager Mike Borgonzi confirmed Ward has been throwing again and could join the June minicamp. He hopes to regain full strength before training camp begins in late July.

Ward logged 3,169 passing yards, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions across 17 games, becoming the only NFL quarterback to play every offensive snap last season. He resumed work with personal coach Darrell Colbert Jr. in mid‑March, focusing on his base mechanics while keeping his throwing motion intact. Titans officials see his return as key to the offense.

New offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, praised by head coach Robert Saleh for molding quarterbacks like Josh Allen, will oversee Ward’s June sessions with quarterbacks coach Shea Tierney. Daboll plans to fine‑tune Ward’s footwork rather than overhaul his arm action, aiming for a steadier base and more consistent pocket play. Ward’s health and mechanics will shape the Titans’ 2026 outlook.
