The Buffalo Bills are set to sign free agent cornerback Dee Alford to a three-year contract worth up to $21 million, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The deal includes $10.12 million guaranteed and comes after Alford's standout 2025 season with the Atlanta Falcons. At 28, Alford has emerged as a versatile defensive asset after bouncing back from a training camp demotion.

Alford's 2025 campaign was marked by his ability to fill multiple roles in Atlanta's secondary. He stepped in for injured starters AJ Terrell and Mike Hughes, then replaced rookie Billy Bowman after Bowman's season-ending Achilles injury. His production peaked with career highs in interceptions (3), passes defended (13), and sacks (2), along with a forced fumble and recovery. He started seven games in Jeff Ulbrich's defensive scheme.

Alford's journey to this contract includes four seasons with the Falcons, where he started 23 games total. The Mississippi native began his professional career in the CFL with Winnipeg Blue Bombers, starting for their 2021 Grey Cup-winning team. Undrafted out of Division II Tusculum, Alford's path to a $21 million NFL deal underscores his resilience and development as a defensive back.
