Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane has laid out clear expectations for wide receiver Keon Coleman as the young player enters his third NFL season. Speaking at the NFL combine Tuesday, Beane emphasized that Coleman must return to the form he displayed during last year's offseason training and training camp, when his work was described as 'excellent.'

The 33rd overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft had shown promise during the offseason and training camp, with Beane noting he was 'dialed in, ready to go' and had been working out diligently. However, Coleman's season was marred by inconsistency and off-field issues, including being disciplined for tardiness and serving as a healthy scratch for four games. By season's end, he had slid to Buffalo's sixth wide receiver on the depth chart, finishing with 38 catches for 404 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games.

Beane acknowledged that Coleman's missed time due to off-field issues damaged the trust and camaraderie with his teammates, stating that 'that fully ever recovered.' With new head coach Joe Brady taking over and the Bills looking to upgrade their receiving corps through the draft, Coleman faces a critical juncture in his career. Beane's message is clear: if Coleman can eliminate the maturity issues that plagued him last season and replicate his strong offseason work ethic, he'll have 'every chance' to secure his role in Buffalo's offense.
