The Washington Wizards have decided to end AJ Dybantsa's NBA summer league participation after just two games. The No. 1 pick impressed in his debut, scoring 27 points with seven rebounds and two steals, followed by a 23-point performance. Coach T.J. Sorrentine confirmed the decision, citing precautionary reasons common for lottery picks.

This marks Dybantsa's first game action since the NCAA tournament in March. He described the summer league as a 'testing ground' to adapt to game speed, plays, teammates, and physicality. The Wizards also opted to shut down second-year wings Will Riley and Tre Johnson.

The Wizards still have another game against the LA Clippers before the summer league playoffs commence.
