Golden State Warriors center Kristaps Porzingis will miss Sunday's game against the Denver Nuggets due to illness, coach Steve Kerr confirmed. The seven-foot-three big man was a late scratch after feeling unwell earlier in the day. This would have been Porzingis' second appearance for his new team since joining the Warriors via trade from Atlanta at the February deadline.

Porzingis debuted for Golden State in Thursday's loss to the Boston Celtics, scoring 12 points in 17 minutes. He had practiced Friday and Saturday with Kerr planning to increase his minutes. The 28-year-old has been limited to just 18 games this season due to Achilles tendinitis and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), a disorder affecting the autonomic nervous system.

The Warriors face uncertainty about Porzingis' availability for their upcoming road trip to Memphis and New Orleans on Tuesday and Wednesday. Golden State acquired the Latvian star to bolster their frontcourt and provide another scoring option alongside Steph Curry. His absence highlights the ongoing health challenges that have plagued the Warriors' season as they navigate the Western Conference playoff picture.
