San Antonio Spurs will open a three‑team European swing on Jan. 14, 2027, when they face the New Orleans Pelicans at Paris’s AccorArena. Three days later the same matchup moves to Manchester, marking the NBA’s first regular‑season contest on English soil. French phenom Victor Wembanyama will lead the Spurs in what the franchise calls a showcase for its global brand.

The league’s European push follows a 2025 Paris stop, where the Spurs split two games with Indiana and Wembanyama called the trip “amazing.” The Pelicans embark on their first regular‑season outing abroad; their only previous overseas games were preseason visits to China in 2016 and Europe in 2008. NBA officials point to five Paris contests and a Manchester debut as evidence of rising demand.

George Aivazoglou, NBA managing director for Europe and the Middle East, said the twin venues reflect strong momentum for basketball across France, the UK and the continent. With Berlin and Paris slated for the 2027‑28 season, the league now guarantees at least six European regular‑season games through 2028. The Spurs‑Pelicans showcase will give fans a live experience and cement the NBA’s foothold in new markets.
