The Denver Nuggets will be without Julian Strawther indefinitely after he sprained his left knee in a preseason game against the Los Angeles Clippers at Intuit Dome on Wednesday night. The injury occurred during Denver's preseason matchup, sidelining the 24-year-old guard and forward. The Nuggets announced Friday that Strawther will be reevaluated in six weeks to determine his recovery timeline.
He was expected to contribute off the bench for Denver this upcoming season. Strawther appeared in 57 games last season, averaging 7.2 points per contest. He also saw limited action in two playoff games during Denver's first-round exit to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
A 2023 first-round pick (29th overall) out of Gonzaga, Strawther has started 18 games in his NBA career to date.
