He questioned whether the action was racially motivated and criticized the city's apology as insufficient.

Speaking after the Celtics' 121-110 victory over the Warriors, Brown said he lost significant money and partners made assumptions about protocol violations. The event featured panels on future culture and leadership with speakers including National Basketball Players Association president Andre Iguodala. Brown, known for his intellectual pursuits including lectures at MIT and Harvard, called the incident 'bulls---' and said the moment can't be reclaimed now that All-Star Weekend has ended.
