Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke was arrested Wednesday in Arkansas on multiple charges including speeding, improper passing, and possession of a controlled substance. The Cross County Sheriff's Department booked the 6-foot-7 forward after he was stopped for traffic violations. Clarke faces additional charges of fleeing and trafficking a controlled substance, with a booking photo released by authorities.

Clarke, now in his seventh NBA season after playing college basketball at Gonzaga, has been limited to just two games this season due to injuries. The Grizzlies announced March 24 that he would miss the remainder of the season after requiring additional healing time following right knee surgery and a right calf strain. He has missed 73 total games this season.

Grizzlies coach Tuomas Iisalo declined to comment on the arrest before Wednesday night's game against the New York Knicks, stating he was aware of the report but had no further remarks. The arrest adds another setback to Clarke's injury-plagued season, which was already derailed by rehabilitation needs. His availability for next season remains uncertain pending both legal proceedings and medical clearance.
