Stephen and Ayesha Curry are expanding their restaurant empire to Charlotte, partnering with Michael Mina to open three venues at the Ritz-Carlton. The project includes Sweet July Café, Bourbon Steak, and The Eighth Rule, marking a business homecoming for the Warriors star whose father Dell played for the Charlotte Hornets from 1989 to 1999.

Sweet July Café launches first this July, featuring California farmers-market-inspired fare with smoothies, pastries, and Jamaican heritage influences. Ayesha brings serious culinary credentials, including two cookbooks and a Food Network show. The café already operates in Santa Monica, making this expansion a natural next step.

Bourbon Steak arrives this winter under Mina's direction, offering high-end steaks and luxury items like Caviar Parfait. The Eighth Rule, Stephen's cocktail-focused concept already in San Francisco, features his signature chicken tenders and premium spirits. Both target winter openings.

This venture connects Stephen's basketball legacy with his hometown while leveraging Ayesha's established brand. Coming off a season averaging 26.6 points per game, Curry diversifies his portfolio beyond basketball. The restaurants reflect the couple's shared commitment to community-centered spaces.
