Retired Miami Heat star Chris Bosh has offered advice and a warning to San Antonio Spurs player Victor Wembanyama regarding his blood clot diagnosis. Bosh, who also suffers from blood clots that ended his career, urged Wembanyama to "take your medicine" and stay diligent with his health regimen.

Wembanyama's 2024-25 season was shortened due to deep vein thrombosis in his shoulder, a condition usually treated with blood thinners that can prevent participation in contact sports. Despite being cleared to return and playing 64 games the following season, Bosh cautions against complacency, recalling his own severe clotting episode in January that nearly proved fatal.

Bosh first experienced blood clots in 2015, leading to hospitalization and ultimately ending his 13-year NBA career after the 2015-16 season. Wembanyama, who was initially shaken by his diagnosis, now works with a team of experts to manage his condition, viewing it as a challenge to overcome.
