The Chicago White Sox aren't finished reshaping their roster after trading Luis Robert Jr. to the New York Mets. General manager Chris Getz confirmed the team will remain aggressive, citing new financial flexibility and a roster spot opened by moving Robert's $20 million salary. Getz stated the organization is "very open-minded" about further additions.

Chicago's front office is targeting improvements across all areas, with particular focus on adding outfield depth and pitching help. The team already signed Japanese slugger Munetaka Murakami and pitchers Anthony Kay and Sean Newcomb this offseason. After three consecutive 100-loss seasons, the White Sox need more front-end talent to complement their young core of infielders and catchers.

The trade netted Luisangel Acuna and a pitching prospect, who will compete for playing time in center field and the middle infield. With Robert's departure, the last remaining member of their 2021 playoff team is gone, signaling a full rebuild. Getz is already fielding calls from agents and executives, aiming to build a more competitive roster before spring training.
