Detroit Tigers pitchers Casey Mize and Kenley Jansen both left Wednesday's game against the Angels with right groin injuries. Mize started and threw four scoreless innings before exiting, while Jansen left after recording two outs in the ninth. The Tigers still won 4-0, ending a season-long seven-game home losing streak.

Mize, making his third start after returning from a similar injury against Atlanta, said the sensation was "less than last time." The 29-year-old has pitched well this season with a 2-3 record and 2.27 ERA. Jansen has recorded seven saves with a 4.80 ERA. Both injuries add to a crowded injured list that already includes ace Tarik Skubal and veteran Justin Verlander.

The 22-34 Tigers continue to struggle this season, partly due to injuries. Other players currently on the injured list include hitters Parker Meadows, Kerry Carpenter, Javier Baez and Gleyber Torres. The team's pitching depth faces serious challenges as they navigate through multiple key injuries.
