Atlanta Braves right fielder Ronald Acuña Jr. may be activated from the injured list and return to the lineup for the team's series in Baltimore starting Friday, manager Walt Weiss said. Acuña is scheduled to play Thursday night with Triple-A Gwinnett to get more at-bats.

Acuña was placed on the injured list on June 9 with a left hamstring strain, his second stint on the IL this season for the same issue. He previously missed 15 games in May. Weiss indicated Acuña's return depends on his performance and feeling ready.

The 2023 MVP has played seven minor league games during his rehab, appearing physically ready. Acuña is hitting .251/.373/.793 with 15 stolen bases in 53 games. The Braves have a 37-16 record with him in the lineup versus 23-26 without him this season.
