The former Boston slugger, speaking at his celebrity golf tournament, confirmed he recently spoke with Henry about the club's current woes as the team sits last in the AL East with a 25-33 record.

The 76-year-old Henry, who purchased the team in 2002, has maintained a low public profile recently, skipping interviews since trading Mookie Betts in 2020. Despite his professional demeanor, Ortiz insists Henry remains deeply invested in returning the team to its championship form from 2004-2018 when they captured four World Series titles.
