Hunter Goodman launched three home runs as the Colorado Rockies defeated the Minnesota Twins 8-5 on Saturday at Target Field. The designated hitter drove in five runs, crushing solo shots in his first two at-bats against starter Mike Paredes. Both homers traveled an estimated 428 feet, with the first reaching the third deck in left field and the second landing in the bullpens beyond the fence.

After grounding out in the fifth, Goodman delivered again in the seventh with two runners aboard. He worked the count full before hammering a 401-foot blast from Kody Funderburk into left-center seats. The performance came one day after Goodman's dramatic two-out, two-run homer in Friday's ninth inning - a 451-foot shot that briefly gave Colorado the lead before Minnesota's 10-inning rally.

Kyle Karros supported the effort with a two-run homer in the eighth, while Michael Lorenzen (3-9) earned his first victory since April 24, allowing just two runs and seven hits over 5 2/3 innings. Goodman's power surge raises his season total to 25 homers, building on last year's career-best 31. The 26-year-old slugger has emerged as Colorado's most consistent offensive threat during what's been a challenging season for the Rockies.
