The San Francisco Giants have finalized Harrison Bader's $20.5 million, two-year deal, moving Jung Hoo Lee from center to right field. Bader, a Gold Glove caliber defender, is set to upgrade the team’s outfield defense after posting career-high numbers last season.

Lee, who signed a $113 million contract in 2023, spent most of 2024 in center due to injury. While he’s transitioning positions, the Giants believe his instincts and speed make the shift manageable. Manager Tony Vitello and GM Zack Minasian have assured Lee he'll still get reps in center.

Bader, 31, is eager to bring energy and leadership to a team coming off four straight non-playoff seasons. His addition signals San Francisco’s focus on defensive stability and clubhouse culture. Lee remains expected to play center for Team Korea in the WBC.

Heliot Ramos stays in left, solidifying a new-look Giants outfield for 2026. Spring training will be key as the team adapts to positional changes and aims for a rebound season in the NL West.
