The Arizona Diamondbacks placed right-hander Soroka on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to right shoulder inflammation. It marks the second time this season Soroka has missed time with an injury, having been out for nearly two months due to a strained left glute. The 29-year-old posted an 8-4 record and 3.40 ERA when healthy.

He struggled in his most recent outgiving, giving up six earned runs over 3 1/3 innings in an 11-5 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. Soroka joins fellow starting pitchers on the injured list as the team hopes for their return during the regular season.
