Wyndham Clark captured the BMW Championship at Bellerive with a three-shot victory over Rory McIlroy, closing with an even-par 70 for a 17-under 263 total. Clark erased a five-shot lead lost to McIlroy over 11 holes, then seized control with a birdie on the par-3 16th and another on the 17th after McIlroy bogeyed. The win marks Clark's third of the season, including a major at the U.S. Open, bolstering his PGA Tour Player of the Year case. "It shows I'm one of the best players in the world," Clark said.

Patrick Cantlay surged to runner-up with a closing 68, jumping from 43rd to inside the top 30 in the FedEx Cup to advance to the Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta, where he won the FedEx Cup in 2021. Gary Woodland also secured his first Tour Championship berth since 2019, three years after brain surgery, finishing T-4 despite a double bogey on No. 9.

McIlroy closed with a 69 but made no birdies over the final seven holes, finishing solo third. Robert MacIntyre moved into the top 30 with a T-7, while Rickie Fowler, Bud Cauley, and Kurt Kitayama fell out. Ryan Fox claimed the final qualifying spot.
