Sweden's Isabella and Rasmus Wranå captured gold in mixed doubles curling at the Winter Olympics, defeating American pair Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin 6-5 in a dramatic final. The siblings, coached by their father Mats Wranå, became Sweden's first brother-sister team to compete in Olympic curling.

Isabella delivered the winning stone in the final end, knocking out the Americans' rock after a tense championship match. The victory marked redemption for the Wranås, who had stumbled early in the tournament, losing three straight games before rallying to win most of their remaining matches. The Swedish media had dubbed their initial struggles a "Curlingfiasko."

Thiesse and Dropkin made history as the first U.S. team to medal in Olympic mixed doubles curling. The Duluth-based pair, who are both working professionals - Thiesse as a lab technician and Dropkin as a real estate agent - had won the world championship in 2023. Italy's Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner claimed bronze, defeating Britain 5-3 in a match that ended bitterly for the defending champions.
