A'ja Wilson became the fastest WNBA player to reach 6,000 career points Monday in her 278th game. The Las Vegas Aces center scored 34 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists, and 3 blocks in a 101-91 victory over Seattle. Wilson, 29, reached 6,004 total points and moved the Aces to 8-3 with their fourth consecutive win.

Wilson surpassed Diana Taurasi, who reached 6,000 in 291 games before retiring with the all-time record of 10,646 points. Breanna Stewart holds third place with 6,231 points in 293 games. All three were No. 1 draft picks across different eras. Wilson's achievement demonstrates her sustained excellence since being selected first overall in 2018.

"I'm just grateful to be able to do what I do with the people I love," Wilson said. Coach Becky Hammon highlighted how Wilson's expanded offensive skills made her "virtually unguardable." Hammon noted Wilson's transformation from a low-post player to someone who can shoot 3s, handle the ball, and score from anywhere on the court.
