Jazzy Davidson scored 31 points in her debut, including the go-ahead 3-pointer in overtime to lift ninth-seeded USC to a 71-67 victory over No. 8 seed Clemson. The game went to overtime after officials overturned Mia Moore's apparent game-winning basket at the buzzer with 0:42 remaining, ruling the shot clock hadn't started properly with 4.4 seconds left. Davidson, a 6-foot-1 freshman leading USC in scoring at 17.6 points, played all 45 minutes and finished a point shy of her career high. Clemson led 64-61 with 2:34 left in OT before Davidson hit the tying 3-pointer and then put USC ahead after Malia Samuels rebounded her missed shot for the winning basket. USC reached the Elite Eight for the second straight year but played without star JuJu Watkins, sidelined since last year's tournament with a torn ACL.

Clemson got within 70-67 on Morgan Lee's 3-pointer with 9 seconds left, but Samuels' free throw sealed the win. Taylor Johnson-Matthews scored 16 for Clemson.
