TJ Power exploded for an Ivy Madness-record 44 points to carry Pennsylvania past Yale 88-84 in overtime Sunday, clinching the Quakers' 25th NCAA tournament berth. The versatile forward, who played at Duke and Virginia earlier in his career, shot 14-of-26 from the field including seven 3-pointers and was perfect from the free throw line.

Cam Thrower provided crucial support with 19 points, including five clutch points in overtime. His 3-pointer with two minutes left gave Penn an 82-78 lead, and he followed up his own miss for an 84-81 advantage. Power sealed the victory with two free throws in the final 17 seconds. First-year coach Fran McCaffery, a Penn alum, is taking his fifth program to the NCAA tournament.

The win marks Penn's return to March Madness after a five-year absence. Power's 44-point outburst was the second-most in a conference tournament final over the last 30 seasons, trailing only Central Arkansas' Camren Hunter's 49-point performance this year.
