Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams will be re-evaluated after the All-Star break following his second right hamstring strain in less than four weeks, the team announced Thursday. Williams aggravated the injury during Wednesday's win over the Phoenix Suns after missing 10 games with the initial strain he suffered January 17.

Williams had returned Monday against the Los Angeles Lakers, delivering a spectacular performance with 28 points on 11-of-12 shooting in just 20 minutes before exiting in the third quarter. The injury compounds Oklahoma City's current health issues, with reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and sixth man Ajay Mitchell also sidelined with abdominal strains.

Williams, who signed a maximum contract extension after last season's championship run, missed the first 19 games recovering from right wrist surgery. He's averaging 17.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game this season. The Thunder face a critical stretch without their star forward as they navigate the Western Conference standings.
