COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The South Carolina Gamecocks secured at least a share of the SEC regular-season title with an 85-48 demolition of Ole Miss Sunday. The No. 3 ranked team's dominant performance included holding the Rebels to just 26.5% shooting and limiting them to nine points in both the second and third quarters.

Joyce Edwards led the way with 21 points while Madina Okot contributed 17 points and 10 rebounds. The Gamecocks now stand at 13-1 in league play, with their only loss coming in overtime at Oklahoma. Texas and Vanderbilt are tied for second place at 11-3 after Sunday victories.

Coach Dawn Staley emphasized the team's desire to win the title outright rather than share it, with a chance to do so Thursday when they host Missouri. South Carolina has now won or shared five consecutive SEC regular-season championships, extending their streak of league dominance. The Gamecocks have won the SEC tournament nine times, including five of the past six years, and are positioned as strong favorites heading into both the conference tournament and NCAA Tournament.
